You may have set something else, so not sure. I tried disabling all labours just set 2 to mining and they are just standing around. Non of your dwafs are carrying picks or axes, There are some log piles and a shield forbidden on the surface, a bronze pick up a Tea Tree (bottom of map beside river), That is dumped so i reset those. its too frustrating to play the game thats already difficult as hell, confusing, and poorly explained, only for it to die with no solution beyond "restart" because of a 10 year old bug Here, if anyone wants to try and fix the save file from before the retire, be my guest. Fix it by undoing whatever it is you did, but don't expect anyone to use clairvoyance to help out if you've got that kind of a nasty attitude. There's no "dwarves won't dig or build" bug btw. I think im just done with this game, learning it is pointless when it will just decide to end itself due to tarns ♥♥♥♥♥♥ code, even the fixes cause more problems then they're worth ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over not because of funny "fun" not because of my own idiocy, not because of an enemy, not because of anything more then a simple bug that EVEN WHEN FIXED, STILL SCREWS ME OVER Such a good ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ map, with a decent idea, an amazing location for caverns, amazing river location, aquafiers werent too bad. this caused a dwarf to simply delete himself from the game, which is extremely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ irritatingĪll of my rum is now wasted on the floor because i guess the dev just never fixes bugs no matter how old they areĪnd now they mine stuff, but im down a dwarf through not a singular fault of my own, all because the game errored out in SUCH A WAY that nothing would get done You'll need a militia commander, you might need to designate them through the nobles screen.Originally posted by JerryTheCultist:i tried retiring and unretiring the fort. Giving them actual armor/weapons will take assigning a Uniform though. >click the face of a dwarf icon to assign dwarves to that squad >go back, and press the empty box next to the squad to get to the order panel, click to arrow to 'station' (order them to move to a certain square) in the path of the minotaur. >Press Q to go to the squad screen, designate a militia commander and create a squad. Go back, and press the empty box next to the squad to get to the order panel, click to arrow to 'station' (order them to move to a certain square) in the path of the minotaur. forget the uniform for now.Ĭlick the face of a dwarf icon to assign dwarves to that squad Press Q to go to the squad screen, designate a militia commander and create a squad. Maybe quickly assign some of your useless dwarves into a sacrifice militia and send them to go wrassle the beastie. But yeah, the 'tutorial' could use some curating Some people are into that, taking this unwieldy ugly ascii thing and turning it into story. Copper I usually just make bolts for marksdwarves. Nice and heavy for your military dwarves. Thanks anon, any idea about what items to save and what to put in the refuse? It happens all the time to me as well, they'll eventually pick it all up and put in the stockpile, it's just that they are busy or getting drunk at the tavern You can't use a wooden axe to cut down trees or make a stone axe either. Im like 90% certain you can't cut down trees with a wooden axeĬan you mine? I'm pretty sure you can make all the basics with stone. ![]() Then make a carpenter shop, you'll be able to craft a wooden axe Use stone to create a wood furnace and create charcoal, use that charcoal to either smelt a material down and then forge your metal into an axe, or just do the latter step if you have metal already.Ĭlick on your wagon, where all your starting resources are, and dismantle it. Lol, I did this too, here is the question, do you have metal with you or anything you can smelt into metal? Breaking down your wagon gives you 3 logs (I think).
